1984年，香港宝莲禅寺传三坛大戒，宏船长老被恭请为得戒阿阇黎。当时香港宝莲禅寺时任方丈圣一长老亲自写诗，于此幅书法赠送宏船长老做为纪念。
In 1984, Hong Kong’s Po Lin Monastery conducted its Triple Platform Ordination Ceremony and invited Venerable Seck Hong Choon as one of the ceremony’s Preceptor Ācārya. To commemorate this, the then-Abbot of Po Lin Monastery, Venerable Shi Sheng Yi, handwritten this calligraphy work – a traditional poem composed by him, and presented it to Venerable Hong Choon.
