Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao came to Singapore to raise funds for the construction of a new Sangha College under South Putuo Temple (Nanputuo Si) in Xiamen, China. He eventually collaborated with Venerables Zhuan An and Zhuan Rui, and founded a temple in Singapore known today as Poo Thor Jee Temple (Pu Tuo Si)
