在郑雨生居士捐献原有土地上，有一栋二层楼的房子；房子中间供佛，两旁宿舍。光明山普觉禅寺最初的“大殿”和“僧舍”就是一个简陋的“精舍”。
A two-storey building on this plot of land was donated by Tay Woo Seng. The building was subsequently converted into living quarters for the Sangha community by Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao. Additionally, the central building on the property was dedicated as the first shrine room. In essence, the now grand KMSPKS was initially a simple vihara.
