转道长老是光明山普觉禅寺首任住持。当时其真法师广东惠州人，在广州海幢寺出家，下南洋来新加坡会遇转道长老，协助转道长老管理光明山普觉禅寺，常住光明山，也是新加坡“佛经流通处”和“居士林”发起人之一。

Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao became the first abbot of KMSPKS. He was later joined and assisted by Venerable Shi Qi Zhen from Huizhou, who had received his higher ordination at Hoi Tong Monastery in Guangzhou, China. Venerable Shi Qi Zhen later became one of the founding members of The Singapore Buddhist Sutra Distribution Centre (now known as The Singapore Buddhist Lodge).
