转道长老发起“佛经流通处”，隔年6月17日转道长老与李俊承、丘菽园、庄笃明诸居士发起组织居士林。同年，居士林成立，并正式命名 “佛教居士林“，转道长老为倡办人兼导师。每逢星期三及星期日晚上，长老均亲身领导念佛，且诲教静出禅观。
Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao founded the Singapore Buddhist Sutra Distribution Centre. The following year on 17 June 1934, it was formally renamed as Singapore Buddhist Lodge (SBL), after a series of expansion works made possible through the collaborative efforts of Lee Choon Seng, Khoo Seok Wan, Zhuang Duming and Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao himself. Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao personally led the chanting of sutras and taught the practice of deep meditation at SBL every Wednesday and Sunday night.
