Milestone | Centennial Exhibition 100周年纪念展

1971

宏船长老扩建光明山普觉禅寺，成立了扩建护法团，先后兴建大悲殿、钟鼓楼、甘露戒堂、藏经楼、长廊、功德楼、普安塔、禅楼等。

隔年举行胜金刚地基 – 藏经楼、甘露戒堂、大悲殿，邀请新加坡国防部政务部长黄循文主持奠基。

Under Venerable Seck Hong Choon, the KMSPKS Buddha-Dharma Volunteer Group (扩建护法团) was set up and KMSPKS embarked on an expansion plan which eventually led to the construction of the Hall of Great Compassion, Bell and Drum Tower, Hall of Amrita Precepts, Dharma Hall, “Long Corridor” (长廊), Ancestral Hall, Pu An Columbarium, and Abbot’s Hall, among others.

Then Minister of State for Defence, Wee Toon Boon, was invited to preside over the foundation stone ceremony of the Dharma Hall, Hall of Amrita Precepts, and Hall of Great Compassion.

1972

宏船长老在印度士路大牌77设立新加坡佛教施诊所的第一家分所。

Venerable Seck Hong Choon set up the first Singapore Buddhist Free Clinic branch at Block 77, Indus Road.

1974

宏船长老荣任菲律宾信愿、华藏二寺上座。

Venerable Seck Hong Choon accepted the invitation to become the Venerable Elder (上座) of two Buddhist temples in the Philippines, Xin Yuan Temple and Hua Cang Temple.

1975

宏船长老与常凯法师创建新加坡首间佛教中学文殊中学，用了数年时间至校舍落成（1981年）。

Venerable Seck Hong Choon, along with Venerable Shi Chang Kai founded Singapore’s first Buddhist secondary school, Manjusri Secondary School. The construction of the school building took several years and was completed in 1981.

1976

新火化场落成。

Completion of the new Crematorium.

1977

普安塔落成。

Completion of Pu An Columbarium.

1978

藏经楼暨图书馆落成。

Completion of the Dharma Hall.

1978

宏船长老以佛总主席，主祭裕廊造船厂内在施工的油槽船“史拜罗斯”号爆炸，并启建全国佛教徒祈祷超荐法会，亲自带领全国僧侣到肇祸地点接引亡灵，开坛洒净，白天顶礼三昧水忏，晚上比丘与比丘尼分别施放三大士瑜伽焰口。

As the President of the Singapore Buddhist Federation, Venerable Seck Hong Choon initiated a mass joint prayer for the deliverance of victims of the Jurong “Spyros” ship disaster. Together with Sangha members from Singapore, Venerable Seck Hong Choon personally visited the disaster site and led prayers for the souls of the deceased. The Compassionate Samadhi Water Repentance Sutra (三昧水忏) was conducted during the day, followed by the Yogacara Ulka-mukha Dharma Service (瑜伽焰口) at night.

1979

在芽笼23街48号建立了新加坡佛教施诊所的第二个分所。在该处所盖建的新大楼，现今成为佛教施诊所的总部和诊所。

Venerable Seck Hong Choon established the second branch of the Singapore Buddhist Free Clinic at a new building located at No. 48, Geylang Lorong 23. This building eventually became the headquarters of the Singapore Buddhist Free Clinic, while its clinic was re-established as the main branch (Geylang Main Branch Clinic).
