11月6日，宏船长老第七次访华，由新加坡乘机经广州抵达西安，一共有13人访问团，他还带领信徒们参加了中国扶风县法门寺的开幕仪式。

在西安,出席了11月9日扶风县法门寺的开界领光法会,朝拜了佛指舍利,并游览了秦始皇兵马俑、华清池;访问了大慈恩寺。

在西安,赵朴初会见了宏船长老一行。中国佛协和陕西省佛协联合举行素宴招待了宏船长老一行。

宏船长老一行在圆满的完成西安的访问后，于11月14日由北京飞经香港返回新加坡。

1988 Venerable Hong Choon returned to China for the seventh time.

On 6 November, Venerable Seck Hong Choon led a group of 13 on his seventh visit to China. They flew from Singapore to Xi’an via Guangzhou to attend the Grand Opening Ceremony of the sacred Famen Temple (Famen Si) in Fufeng County, Xi’an.

While in Xi’an, they attended the Puja for Reverence of Buddha’s Relic and Grand Opening Ceremony of Famen Temple. Venerable Seck Hong Choon and his group paid special homage to Buddha’s sacred “metacarpal” finger relic. They also visited the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum, Huaqing Hot Springs, and Daci’en Temple.

Venerable Seck Hong Choon and his entourage met with Zhao Puchu in Xi’an and were hosted to a vegetarian banquet organised by the Buddhist Association of China and Shanxi Buddhist Association.

The visit concluded on an auspicious note, and Venerable Seck Hong Choon and his group returned to Singapore from Beijing via Hong Kong on 14 November.
