1926年8月转道长老与华商筹组“星洲讲经会”，此时38岁太虚大师被邀请来新加坡弘法。圆瑛长老第二次被邀请来新加坡弘法，同时也为泉州开元寺创办开元慈儿院筹募基金。
太虚大师访星期间主要是受转道长老招待，期间太虚大师还为转道长老作《泉州开元寺转道上人传》，发表在《海潮音》上。
In August 1926, Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao organised a Buddhist lecture and invited the prominent Venerable Shi Tai Xu to join him in propagating the Buddha-dharma teachings in Singapore.
Venerable Shi Yuan Ying was invited to Singapore for the second time to establish the Kaiyuan Charity Foundation in order to raise funds for Kaiyuan Temple.
During Venerable Shi Tai Xu’s visit, he wrote an article dedicated to Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao. This article was later published in “Hai Chao Yin”.
