1929年4月，第一次中国全国佛教徒大会在上海召开，成立了全国性的佛教组织——中国佛教会，转道长老虽侨居在外，仍被推举为中国佛教会名誉财政委员与监察委员。
中华佛教会改组，会长转道长老将会址迁往丹戎巴葛普陀寺，并创办发行《觉灯》刊物，社长为转道长老。
In January 1929, upon the invitation of Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao, Venerable Shi Dao Jie stopped by Singapore to give a three-day Dharma talk at Chin Kang Huay Kuan. At the talk, Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao delivered the opening address and translated the entire talk by Venerable Shi Dao Jie into Hokkien.
After the talk, both Venerables headed to Myanmar to attend the “World Buddhism Conference”.
