1930

In the summer of 1930, Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao and Venerable Shi Ji Ying set up the first “Buddhist College” and “Buddhist College Library” in Singapore. Although scheduled to be opened on 1 September, more than 100 students had enrolled at the college by July of the same year. However, the plans were cancelled due to the prohibition by the colonial authorities.
