1931年北平中华佛教青年会总干事与《佛教旬刊》总编辑南下星州弘法时，得到转道长老的资助，发行《觉华佛刊》。之后，转老的高足寂英在柔佛新山创办“转道学园”。
夏，转道长老以中华佛教会会长身份积极参与此年夏天中国十六个省的严重水灾的赈灾活动。
此年冬，转道长老六十寿辰，应闽南各界之请，传三坛无量寿佛戒，七众得戒者756人，并同时举办千人大法会，会泉长老任教授阿阇梨，宏船长老担任引礼师。
此次传戒恢复了湮没二百八十余年的泉州开元寺戒坛。圆瑛长老作《泉州开元寺同戒录序》以记载转道长老重兴开元寺及其传戒的功德。
In 1931, the Director of the Beijing (Peiping) Chinese Buddhist Youth Association and Editor-in-Chief of the Buddhist Quarterly Journal (Fo Jiao Xun Kan) visited Singapore to propagate the Dharma. During their visit, they received funding from Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao to publish the Juehua Buddhist Journal (Jue Hua Fo Kan).
Venerable Shi Ji Ying, Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao’s best disciple, established the “Zhuan Dao Campus” in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
In the summer of 1931, as the chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao actively participated in the flood relief activities for the severe floods occurring in sixteen provinces of China.
At Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao’s 60th birthday in the winter season, Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao was invited to Fujian to be a Titular Grand Preceptor Acariya for the Triple Platform Ordination Ceremony. The ceremony was attended by 756 participants. Venerable Shi Hui Quan was invited as the Teaching Ācārya, while Venerable Seck Hong Choon was the Guiding Venerable for the Triple Platform Ceremony. During the ceremony, a prayer service was organised and attended by thousands of devotees.
The Triple Platform Ordination Ceremony helped restore the run-down Precept Hall of more than 280 years. Venerable Shi Yuan Ying authored the Kaiyuan Temple’s “Precept Record Books” to document Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao’s merits and virtues of reviving Kaiyuan Temple and his propagation at the Triple Platform Ceremony.
