1935年12月 “新加坡佛经流通处”会员协助转道长老创建光明山普觉禅寺放生园。
同年，《佛教与佛学》创刊，开始是由转道长老的徒弟寂英法师任主编，第一卷第十期起，由转道和尚自任主编。自第四期起，改为中英双语，为南洋地区第一份中英佛教刊物。
In December 1935, members of the Singapore Buddhist Lodge assisted Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao in setting up a garden at KMSPKS dedicated to the practice of animal liberation.
In the same year, the periodical Buddhism and Buddhist Studies (Fo Jiao Yu Fo Xue) was founded. Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao’s disciple Venerable Shi Ji Ying was the editor. From issue five, the publication became the first bilingual Buddhist periodical in the Nanyang region. Venerable Sik Zhuan Dao took over the role of the editor from issue 10.
